V noci na čtvrtek se opět probudil proslulý vulkán Etna. Z jeho nově vytvořeného kráteru začal opět stoupat dým spolu s gejzíry lávy. Aktivita Etny roste, letos se totiž jedná již o třetí její erupci.
Probuzená Etna může dělat problémy organizátorům cyklistického závodu Giro d’Italia. V neděli se jede devátá etapa a její start je v přímořském městě Messina. Cíl je pak ve výšce 1892 mnm v těsné blízkosti Etny.
