Dnes by měl tajfun Morakot zasáhnout podle prognóz jižní Čínu. Meteorologové ale odhadují , že by se živel měl zeslabit na tropickou bouři. Počasí v postižených oblastech přesto přinese prudké větry a velké množství sráže, zvláště do pobřežních provincií. Morakot je první tajfun letošní sezony, která v této části světa trvá do konce srpna.
