Z celého evropského kontinentu je nejtepleji ve Španělsku, kde se na jihu země nejvyšší odpolední teploty pohybují až na 35 °C. Města Malag a Sevilla dokonce hlásí i tropické noci, tj. nejnižší noční teploty neklesají pod 20 °C. Příští pracovní týden přinese dokonce až 36 °C. Na Kanárských ostrovech převládá polojasno s odpoledními teplotami 26 °C, postupně teploty porostou na 28 °C.
