Letošní motoristická sezóna silničních motocyklů začala v Kataru nedaleko Dauhá. Na programu jsou tréninky, v sobotu kvalifikace a samotná Velká cena se jede neděli. Počasí je pro danou oblast typické – slunečno a velmi teplo. Odpolední teploty rostou téměř ke 30 st. V podvečerních a večerních hodinách při samotném závodě bude teplota jen o něco málo nižší, neboť minimální ranní teplota klesá na 20 st.
