Letošní hurikánová sezona je zatím neslabší za posledních 30 let. Nyní je pozorován v Pacifiku hurikán Andres, který se pohybuje u západního pobřeží střední Ameriky. U Mexika je pozorována tropická bouře Felicie, která dosahuje rychlosti 160 km/h. Zatím je to v oblasti Mexického zálivu jediná tropická bouře letošní sezony. Tajfun Morakot se nyní změnil na tropickou bouři a nad pevninou jihovýchodní Číny slábne.
