Severní oblasti souostroví Filipín zasáhl silný tajfun Utor, který má sílu tajfunu 2. kategorie. Silný déšť způsobil četné sesuvy půdy a vítr dosahoval rychlostí až 200 km/h. Vydatné srážky hlásila také metropole Manila.

Živel se bude přesouvat nad Jihočínské moře, kde bude dále zesilovat (až na tajfun 3. kategorie). Pravděpodobně ve středu by měl dorazit na jižní pobřeží Číny.
